Implementation of Open Access publications. An experience of Guantanamo University

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to expose the experience of the University of Guantanamo of Open Science, specifically in the implementation of the Open Access publication model for the dissemination of scientific productions. For this purpose, scientific research methods were used with a qualitative approach such as analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, and historical-logical, documentary analysis. Among the most relevant conclusions, the importance of the theoretical-methodological aspects addressed in the paper for the editorial process carried out in this type of publication stands out.
