Educational intervention program to implement sustainability in Mining Engineering

Abstract

An educational intervention program was proposed for the implementation of the sustainability dimensions in the academic education of Mining Engineering students at the University of Moa Dr. Antonio Núñez Jiménez. The research supported on with the historical – logical, analysis – synthesis, inductive- deductive theoretical methods and techniques such as the survery, the interview and the analysis of documents. There were obtained activities that integrate the sustainability dimensions to the future professional performance of these students and methodological guidelines for its implementation. Its application should contribute to rasing awareness at work by reducing the negative impact that their activity causes on the environment, society and man.
