The EduSol Journal, with a pedagogical approach, follows the code of ethics for publications and the best practices declared by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Considering the above, authors, reviewers and editors are expected to comply with these best practices and ethical behavior during the editorial process of scientific articles and other written productions submitted to the EduSol Journal.

Below, we will present some key elements related to this topic. The editors of the EduSol journal carry out the evaluation considering the relevance and academic merit of the scientific productions received, their originality and the importance of the study, without taking into account other secondary aspects such as institutional affiliation, gender, religious belief, race, citizenship or ethnicity of the authors.

The decision to carry out the editorial process is determined by the scientific value of the articles submitted and other modalities of publication. The editor-in-chief has full authority over all editorial content of the EduSol journal, as well as over the timing of its dissemination through the publication.

The editors of the EduSol Journal must abstain from articles or other manuscripts that explicitly state the existence of conflicts of interest derived from any type of relationship, whether competitive, collaborative or other, with institutions or companies that have some type of link with the article received by the editorial team. In these cases, they may decide that another member of the editorial board will be in charge of the editorial management of the article in question.

Publication decisions

The editors of the journal will ensure that all manuscripts received by the editorial board that are eligible for publication will undergo a peer review process by two experts in the subject matter of the manuscript.

The editor-in-chief will be responsible for making the decision on which manuscripts received in the journal will be published, taking into account the relevance of the manuscripts, the positive impact they may have on both researchers and readers, the comments provided by the referees, and other legal aspects involved in the editorial process, such as copyright infringement, defamation, and plagiarism. In making this decision, the editor-in-chief may consult with other editors.

Participation and cooperation in investigations

The editors of the journal, in conjunction with the Editor-in-Chief of EduSol, will take appropriate action on ethical concerns related to a published article or manuscript.

In each reported case that is related to behavior that does not conform to editorial ethical principles, an investigation process will be carried out, regardless of the time elapsed since the publication of the article.

In the event that ethical misconduct is confirmed, the editorial board will publish a note informing readers, authors, reviewers and other parties involved about the retraction of the publication and the corresponding correction of the error.

Editors' responsibilities

Editors must maintain the discretion and privacy of the content of articles throughout the editorial process until their final publication.

Editors must handle with privacy and discretion any suspicious and proven conduct from a scientific point of view, including plagiarism in its various forms and fraudulent publication. In relation to this, appropriate measures will be taken considering the seriousness of the situation, and subsequently a clarifying publication will be issued and the work in question will be retracted.

The members of the editorial board will not knowingly encourage misconduct or permit it under any circumstances.
