Social Studies of Science and Technology in Cuba. Institutionalization and social projection

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explain the institutionalization of Social Studies of Science and Technology in Cuba within the educational system, with a visible social projection. A review is presented with a qualitative approach, which is based on the dialectical materialist method, and the use of historical logical methods and systematization, in addition to techniques such as the interview. As a result, a contribution is achieved to enrich the panorama that exists on the institutionalization and trajectory of this field, to understand the relevance of its consolidation and generalization in the context of Higher Education.
