An example of the application of the Didactic Model of Heuristic Instruction

Abstract

An example is presented of the application in the pedagogical practice, of the methodology supported by a didactic model of the professional improvement of Mathematics teachers of the Basic Secondary Education Level in Cuba, to solve the insufficiencies in their theoretical and methodological preparation. The model provides an epistemological logic in the dialectical relationships between the components Conception, Execution and Evaluation of the treatment of the content of Heuristic Instruction of Mathematics assisted by Information and Communication Technologies that favors, through a heuristic approach, that teachers conceive, execute, regulate and evaluate the processing, assimilation and application of such content. In the example, the theory expressed in a doctoral thesis and in publications on the subject is brought closer, so that those interested can have a way to apply it in their respective contexts.
