Relevance of the Mechanisms for the transfer of technology and knowledge in the University-Business context

Abstract

Useful knowledge imposes on universities the role of technology generators linked to the productive fabric. Technological development defines advances in modern societies. Cuba, with this premise, seeks the Knowledge Economy as a government management policy based on innovation. This work argues the necessary improvement of the mechanisms for the transfer of technology and knowledge in the Cuban context University-Business for the exploitation of knowledge using methods of analysis, synthesis, theoretical-legal, exegetical and documentary review that allowed to consolidate legal-instrumental mechanisms of this relationship, as well as to determine the impact of university intellectual creations.
