Challenges and challenges of environmental education at Guantánamo University

Abstract

Within the corporate purpose of the University of Guantánamo is the comprehensive training of professionals, which includes the environmental component, which is not sufficiently achieved in the different careers. The purpose of the article refers to the main challenges of environmental management and education in the Institution, based on the program of strategic actions to comply with the State Plan “Tarea Vida” and includes examples of the results achieved in this sense in the Geography degree, using theoretical and empirical methods. The results obtained show the feasibility of the proposal made.
