Environmental education project based on local sustainable development

Abstract

Integrating basic secondary school into local development processes fosters the ability to direct education to interaction with present and future challenges. The objective of this work is to expose how the school can contribute to local development by integrating environmental education and educational improvement projects. The systematization of
experiences is used as an essential methodology to form the project that is exposed as the main result obtained from the activities carried out by the authors in the educational context of the Julio A. Mella of the municipality of Placetas.
