English language learning in optimal conditions in young and adult learners

Abstract

Controversial criteria on the suitable age for learning the English language have been discussed by foreign and national linguists in different periods. Without being absolute, a systematization on advantages and disadvantages of learning this language is done, and criteria on the pertinence of it in young and adult learners is offered. Thus, the objective of the article is to offer dimensions and indicators to consider so that both teachers and young and adult learners are part of a significance teaching-learning process in the English language under optimal conditions. Methods such as the analytic-synthetic, the inductive-deductive and the observation were used.
