Methodological considerations about the Mathematics support COVID - 19

Abstract

The objective of this work is to show the usefulness of Mathematics to solve, interpret and model problems associated with COVID-19; show the gaps in the mathematical preparation of professionals in this discipline to face these challenges. This is achieve with the use of methods such as analysis-synthesis and modeling. Remaining to be solve, the need of the Mathematics professional to be insert in the solution and / or interpretation of problems that arise in medicine, and the growing urgency of mathematical solutions to solve, model and interpret non-mathematical problems.
