Approach to the policies on permanent university teacher training promoted by Unesco

Abstract

The result of a research task whose purpose was to identify the main policies promoted by Unesco regarding the training of university teachers is socialized. In the research process, systematization was assumed as a methodological strategy, supported by documentary analysis, content analysis, theoretical methods of educational research (analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction) and the triangulation of information. Its main sources were documents agreed upon at international conferences on higher education convened by Unesco. Main guidelines were identified that have shaped international policies regarding university teacher training since the end of the last century.
