Massive open online course, a new challenge for cuban higher education

Abstract

The Information and Communication Technologies in the field of education have given way to new ways of learning and teaching, one of these innovative alternatives is massive open online courses. The implementation of these courses brings with it new challenges that must be faced by students, teachers and educational institutions. A study was carried out on the characteristics, types and advantages of these courses in education. The objective of the
work is to identify challenges that must be overcome for the implementation of these courses in cuban higher education.
