19. Professional training: Evolution towards virtuality, brief look and opportunities in the Cuban context

Abstract

Information and Communication Technologies promote different business processes such as virtual training. However, despite its potential, this modality is still little exploited in Cuban companies. Therefore, the objective of the research is to take a brief look at the historical evolution of professional training towards virtuality, identify trends and international perspectives in the Cuban business context, through a systematic bibliographic review and the use of methods, analysis and scientific historical-logical synthesis, and induction-deduction. The research demonstrated the relevance of virtual training in Cuba, which constitutes a valuable complement and alternative to traditional training.
