The early childhood educator and the defense of culture in preschool ages

Abstract

This research aims to demonstrate the role of the early childhood educator in the defense and preservation of Cuban culture. Documentary analysis and interviews with tutors and specialists were used to expose the contradictions that exist between the profile of graduates specializing in Early Childhood Education and the students’ actual practices. References to aesthetic education in general and aesthetic-professional training in students of this specialization are addressed, which will allow for the development of more cultured professionals capable of confronting negative expressions that threaten Cuban cultural heritage.
