El presente ensayo tiene la intención de reflexionar la importancia de la labor del docente en la formación de competencias dentro y fuera del aula de clases, considerando al estudiante como ente activo del proceso educativo, dándole más importancia a su raciocinio que al formalismo pedagógico.</p>

			<title>Introducción</title>
			<p>Al iniciar la travesía docente, tenemos en claro que uno de los objetivos primordiales que debemos plantearnos es la generación de aprendizajes significativos en nuestros estudiantes, aspecto que se lee sencillo pero requiere de la construcción de ambientes educativos híbridos, pertinentes y contextualizados, donde el mediador deberá proponer actividades y situaciones reales, además de la implementación de recursos cognitivos diversos, es decir, la creación de andamios que faciliten un pensamiento reflexivo. </p>
			<p>Por ende, el diseño de tareas auténticas es primordial, las cuales exigen un nivel de pensamiento complejo, resultando motivadoras y desafiantes para los estudiantes, las mismas que favorecen el rendimiento académico del aprendiz, transformando la información adquirida en una habilidad y destreza que le beneficiará en su desenvolvimiento cotidiano personal, social y profesional. Al implementar tareas auténticas, es importante la selección de contenidos formativos para evitar la mecanización o la bien llamada educación bancaria (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B2">Freire (2006</xref>), le llamaba de esta manera al proceso en donde el educador deposita contenidos en la mente del estudiante, teniendo el último un papel como ente pasivo). </p>

			<title>Desarrollo</title>
			<p>Klafki (citado por <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B5">Paredes, 2017</xref>) centraba su filosofía educativa en la reducción de contenidos disciplinares, dándole mayor auge a los contenidos formativos y la vinculación de estos con la condición actual y futura de los estudiantes, aspectos que hoy en día debemos considerar latentemente en nuestra planeación didáctica. No es que sean inadecuados los saberes disciplinares, sino que es importante proyectarlos desde un eje transversal, en donde existan conexiones equilibradas entre la formación teórica y la práctica. </p>
			<p>De antemano, sabemos que es común escuchar en las aulas de clase esta materia es teórica, aquella es práctica… lo cual es inadmisible. El docente tiene compromiso de mantener una armonía entre estos ejes, debido a que “cualquier práctica humana es una actividad racional que tiene componentes teóricos…, por ende, ninguna práctica podrá mantenerse como tal, sino se apoya de una sólida construcción teórica” (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B1">Fernández, 2007</xref>, p. 23). En pocas palabras, no habría práctica sin teoría y teoría sin la práctica. </p>
			<p> Aunado a lo anterior, Dewey concibe a la educación como un proceso integral, en donde el desarrollo del aprendiente “no se logra sólo con el estudio del mundo, sino con la acción sobre él” (como se citó en <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B6">Suárez, 2014</xref>, p. 85). Al igual, rechaza toda fragmentación, separación y alineación de los contenidos y trata en su filosofía evitar cualquier dicotomía, como la teoría y la praxis, en donde en cualquier proceso educativo, tendrán que estar entrelazadas, sincronizadas, teniendo una ideología pragmática y experimentalista, tal como decía Emmanuel Kant la práctica sin teoría es ciega y la teoría sin práctica es estéril. </p>
			<p>Montaigne condenaba la enseñanza memorística que olvida la virtud y la formación del juicio, retomando la frase de Séneca: no aprendemos para la vida, sino para la escuela. De igual manera, enfatiza que el estudiante no debe retener preceptos en la memoria, sino reflexionar sobre los mismos, en donde logre en absoluto hacerlos íntimamente suyos, no basta templar el alma, es preciso robustecer sus músculos (como se citó en <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B3">Mastache, 1962</xref>, pp. 37-38). Por lo anterior, es importante promover el raciocinio en nuestros aprendientes, independientemente de nuestro perfil profesional. </p>
			<p>Lo anterior, nos invita a repensar, que el saber didáctico no es la mera aplicación de un método en particular, sino la implementación de condiciones para desarrollar un intercambio dialéctico entre docentes y estudiantes, lo que originará la formación de entes competentes dentro y fuera del aula de clases. Por consiguiente, el proceso de planificación es importante, sin embargo, en muchas ocasiones el formalismo pedagógico puede ser un factor limitante, entendiéndolo como el cumulo de conceptualizaciones y requerimientos que el docente debe considerar y cumplir en su quehacer escolar, ese recetario metodológico el cual más allá de propiciar una reingeniería del currículo, la convierte una actividad tradicional, memorística y mecánica. </p>
			<p>
				<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B4">Moran (2004</xref>) menciona que a falta de saberes técnico-pedagógicos, el docente debe reflexionar crítica y colectivamente sobre su función y desenvolvimiento, teniendo un perfil de investigador, facilitador o catalizador más allá del ámbito académico, en donde no solo conozca de su materia, sino también desarrolle habilidades, destrezas y actitudes necesarias, generando ambientes donde los alumnos aprendan a aprender y tengan el placer de dicho aprendizaje, resaltando su reconocimiento sobre el proyecto social que orienta, dándole un sentido y significado a su labor, desenvolviéndose de manera crítica, creativa y en ocasiones, original. Brunner, citado por <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B6">Suárez (2014</xref>) subraya la relevancia del pensamiento productivo y creador, “para esto, el estudiante debe tener considerable libertad y, al mismo tiempo, suficientes elementos y orientaciones para que tal exploración conduzca a resultados” (p. 91), en donde la principal preocupación del maestro deberá ser la participación activa del aprendiente durante todo el proceso educativo, remarcando que razonar procesos es más importante que el atesoramiento de datos o conceptos. </p>
			<p>La función del docente no es únicamente proporcionar una clase. Existen diversas actividades con las cuales debe cumplir, como, por ejemplo, la elaboración de programas de estudio, planes clase, instrumentos de evaluación, asistencia a reuniones y eventos extemporáneos, cumplimiento de algunos estándares impuestos por las instituciones, solo por mencionar solo algunas, es entonces que llegamos a la siguiente dicotomía ¿invertimos más tiempo en cumplir ciertos lineamientos y protocolos previo y durante nuestra intervención? o ¿centralizamos la atención en crear una pedagogía crítica a favor de los estudiantes? </p>
			<p>Dar una respuesta a lo anterior, sería algo dogmático y subjetivo, no obstante, podemos observar ocasionalmente en distintos niveles educativos, al docente promoviendo una tensión al tratar de cumplir con todos esos protocolos, que si bien, son útiles, se vuelven muy complejos y tediosos a la hora de abordarlos, sumándole a dicho proceso, el argot pedagógico con los que se manejan y cambian continuamente, desestabilizando la labor docente. Terminología como mindfulness, gamificación, soft skills, peace in, peace out, entre otras, han ido inmiscuyéndose en el ámbito educativo, siendo préstamos en su mayoría de otras áreas, empero, son estrategias que se han ido trabajando (de manera ecléctica) desde hace años en el campo educativo. </p>
			<p>Por mencionar algunos autores, Zarzar hace hincapié en la importancia de la inducción (peace in), Decroly enfatiza la relevancia de las actividades lúdicas (gamificación), Freinet, hizo énfasis en la motivación por el deseo del alumno de hacer y conocer, la expresión, el placer, el dinamismo, el cooperativismo, el pensamiento autónomo y de autoformación participada, el dialogo, entre muchas otras aportaciones (habilidades blandas) y podemos seguir con un listado innumerable. </p>
			<p>En definitiva, no es que sea inadecuado, todo va evolucionando, pero nos centramos como educadores en poseer un cúmulo de conocimientos y técnicas pedagógicas, cuando es más importante una actitud reflexiva, crítica, de búsqueda, de cambio, de transformación, de libertad intelectual. De nada sirve, la modernización de recursos o técnicas, sin la iniciativa y creatividad del maestro, ya que su eficiencia depende en gran medida de los docentes.</p>
		</sec>
		<sec sec-type="conclusions">
			<title>Conclusiones</title>
			<p>Dirijamos nuestra mirada hacia la formación de personas críticas, para esto es importante que exista un equilibrio en la burocratización escolar, asimilándola como un enriquecimiento a la praxis docente y no como un proceso rígido donde exista saciedad (misma que pudiéramos proyectarle a los alumnos), generando perspectivas transformadoras en la que el estudiante no sólo sea capaz, sino que también transforme la realidad, teniendo un papel, tal como decía Giroux, de intelectual transformativo (como se citó en <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B1">Fernández, 2007</xref>). Fomentemos una actitud crítica en nuestros estudiantes, pero recordemos que, para cumplir dicha meta, debemos empezar por nosotros mismos, seamos congruentes y recordemos que “los hombres no se hacen en el silencio, sino en la palabra, en el trabajo, en la acción, en la reflexión” (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B2">Freire, 2006</xref>).</p>

				<title>ABSTRACT</title>
				<p>The formation of critical and reflective citizens is one of the main objectives of current education, however, for various reasons within the teaching profession we leave aside these axes, focusing more on protocol aspects within educational institutions. The present essay has the intention of reflecting on the importance of the teacher's work in the formation of competencies inside and outside the classroom, considering the student as an active entity in the educational process, giving more importance to his reasoning than to pedagogical formalism.</p>

				<title>Introduction</title>
				<p>At the beginning of the teaching journey, it is clear to us that one of the main objectives that we must consider is the generation of meaningful learning in our students, an aspect that may seem simple but requires the construction of hybrid, relevant and contextualized educational environments, where the mediator must propose activities and real situations, in addition to the implementation of various cognitive resources, that is, the creation of scaffolds that facilitate reflective thinking. </p>
				<p>Therefore, the design of authentic tasks is essential, which require a complex level of thinking, being motivating and challenging for students, the same that favor the academic performance of the learner, transforming the information acquired into an ability and skill that will benefit him/her in his/her daily personal, social and professional development. When implementing authentic tasks, it is important the selection of formative contents to avoid mechanization or the so-called banking education (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B2">Freire (2006</xref>), called this way the process where the educator deposits contents in the student's mind, the latter having a role as a passive entity).</p>
			</sec>
			<sec sec-type="results">
				<title>Development</title>
				<p>Klafki (quoted by <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B5">Paredes, 2017</xref>) focused his educational philosophy on the reduction of disciplinary contents, giving more importance to formative contents and the linking of these with the current and future condition of students, aspects that today we must latently consider in our didactic planning. It is not that disciplinary knowledge is inadequate, but that it is important to project it from a transversal axis, where there are balanced connections between theoretical and practical training. </p>
				<p>Beforehand, we know that it is common to hear in classrooms that this subject is theoretical, that one is practical... which is unacceptable. The teacher is committed to maintain a harmony between these axes, because &quot;any human practice is a rational activity that has theoretical components..., therefore, no practice can be maintained as such, if it is not supported by a solid theoretical construction&quot; (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B1">Fernandez, 2007</xref>, p. 23). In short, there would be no practice without theory and no theory without practice. </p>
				<p> In addition to the above, Dewey conceives education as an integral process, where the development of the learner &quot;is not achieved only through the study of the world, but through action on it&quot; (as cited in <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B6">Suárez, 2014</xref>, p. 85). Likewise, he rejects all fragmentation, separation and alignment of contents and tries in his philosophy to avoid any dichotomy, such as theory and praxis, where in any educational process, they will have to be intertwined, synchronized, having a pragmatic and experimentalist ideology, as Emmanuel Kant said, practice without theory is blind and theory without practice is useless.</p>
				<p>Montaigne condemned rote learning that forgets virtue and the formation of judgment, taking up Seneca's phrase: we do not learn for life, but for school. Likewise, he emphasizes that the student should not retain precepts in memory, but reflects on them, where he can make them intimately his own, it is not enough to temper the soul, it is necessary to strengthen his muscles (as cited in <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B3">Mastache, 1962</xref>, pp. 37-38). Therefore, it is important to promote reasoning in our learners, regardless of our professional profile. </p>
				<p>This invites us to rethink that didactic knowledge is not the mere application of a particular method, but the implementation of conditions to develop a dialectical exchange between teachers and students, which will lead to the formation of competent entities inside and outside the classroom. Therefore, the planning process is important, however, in many occasions pedagogical formalism can be a limiting factor, understanding it as the accumulation of conceptualizations and requirements that the teacher must consider and comply with in his school work, that methodological recipe book which, beyond propitiating a reengineering of the curriculum, turns it into a traditional, memoristic and mechanical activity. </p>
				<p>
					<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B4">Moran (2004</xref>) mentions that in the absence of technical-pedagogical knowledge, teachers should reflect critically and collectively on their role and development, having a researcher, facilitator or catalyst profile beyond the academic field, where they not only know their subject, but also develop the necessary skills, abilities and attitudes, generating a critical and collective reflection on their role and development, having a researcher, facilitator or catalyst profile beyond the academic field, where they not only know their subject, but also develop the necessary skills, abilities and attitudes, generating a critical and collective reflection on their role and development, skills and attitudes, generating environments where students learn to learn and have the pleasure of learning, highlighting their recognition of the social project they guide, giving meaning and significance to their work, developing in a critical, creative and sometimes original way. Brunner, quoted by <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B6">Suárez (2014</xref>) stresses the relevance of productive and creative thinking, &quot;for this, the student must have considerable freedom and, at the same time, enough elements and guidance for such exploration to lead to results&quot; (p. 91), where the main concern of the teacher should be the active participation of the learner throughout the educational process, remarking that reasoning processes are more important than the accumulation of data or concepts.</p>
				<p>The teacher's role is not only to teach a class. There are several activities with which he/she must comply, such as, for example, the development of curricula, lesson plans, evaluation instruments, attendance to meetings and extemporaneous events, compliance with some standards imposed by the institutions, just to mention a few, it is then that we come to the following dichotomy: do we invest more time in meeting certain guidelines and protocols prior and during our intervention, or do we focus our attention on creating a critical pedagogy in favor of the students? </p>
				<p>To give an answer to the above, would be somewhat dogmatic and subjective, however, we can occasionally observe at different educational levels, the teacher promoting a tension when trying to comply with all these protocols, which although they are useful, become very complex and tedious when it comes to address them, adding to this process, the pedagogical jargon with which they are handled and change continuously, destabilizing the teaching work. Terminology such as mindfulness, gamification, soft skills, peace in, peace out, among others, have been intruding in the educational field, being mostly borrowed from other areas, however, they are strategies that have been working (in an eclectic way) for years in the educational field. </p>
				<p>To mention some authors, Zarzar emphasizes the importance of induction (peace in), Decroly emphasizes the relevance of playful activities (gamification), Freinet, emphasized the motivation by the student's desire to do and know, expression, pleasure, dynamism, cooperativism, autonomous thinking and participatory self-training, dialogue, among many other contributions (soft skills) and we can continue with an innumerable list.</p>
				<p>In short, it is not that it is inadequate, everything is evolving, but we focus as educators on possessing a wealth of knowledge and pedagogical techniques, when it is more important to have a reflective, critical, searching, changing, transforming and intellectually free attitude. The modernization of resources or techniques is of no use without the initiative and creativity of the teacher, since their efficiency depends to a great extent on the teachers.</p>
			</sec>
			<sec sec-type="conclusions">
				<title>Conclusions</title>
				<p>Let us direct our gaze towards the formation of critical people, for this it is important that there is a balance in school bureaucratization, assimilating it as an enrichment to the teaching praxis and not as a rigid process where there is satiety (the same that we could project to the students), generating transforming perspectives in which the student is not only capable, but also transforms reality, having a role, as Giroux said, of transformative intellectual (as cited in <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B1">Fernández, 2007</xref>). Let us foster a critical attitude in our students, but let us remember that, in order to achieve this goal, we must start with ourselves, let us be congruent and remember that &quot;men are not made in silence, but in words, in work, in action, in reflection&quot; (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B2">Freire, 2006</xref>)</p>
